אַדְווּתָא, אֲדוּתָאf. (Syr. דועתא דימא P. S. 933, דוע to sweat, drip; cmp. אֵד) prop. sweat, א׳ דימא foam of the Sea. B. Bath.4a; Succ.51b (Ms. M. אידותא) the Temple building of marble looks like a surging Sea (from a distance). Cmp. אוּדְיָיתָא a. אֲזִי.
